| During
the late 1970s and early 1980s, 10 training courses on
freshwater fish culture organized by FAO of the United
Nations were hold in the Institute, and more than 160
technician from 15 nations and regions were trained. In
recent years, the Institute had hold hundreds of fishery
training courses within the country, and more than 10,000
trainees including fishery management officers, technicians
and fish farmers have attended. |

| In
1998, the institute associated with Shanghai Fisheries University
and Zhanjiang Ocean University for graduate student education.
Since then, 12 students have got master's degree, and other
20 students are studing in the institute. In 2003, Prof. Wu
Shuqin was appointed to be supervisor for doctoral students
by Shanghai Fisheries University. |
